But what's wrong with that? You are making the assumption that meaninglessness is a bad thing. I'm an extreme nihilist and am happy with my life. I think it's actually better to be that way, because it frees you from bullshit and makes you realize that you probably only have a few decades left to experience all the cool stuff that life has to offer. No one cares about the "meaning of life" when the are living in the moment.

Strictly speaking, something cannot be an "illusion" unless it was representing something real. Last time I checked, life didn't represent anything - it was your faulty axioms that did that.
