There are quite a few major index futures that are not bearish.

That include :
YM
DAX, CAC40, FTMIB
India Nifty, Nikkei, China A50

If many major index futures are bearish, then recession or the
the bear market is really here.
 
My read is Gold is getting close to an upside breakout; may use Fed meeting as a catalyst. Oil is also still very solid. I like picking up related stocks on any daily drops in SPX. Of course these are unpredictable areas at times just a decent risk/reward gamble. Gold in particular has failed me many times in 2021

eg Today I bought New Gold, Cenovus ( Oil ), and flipped Silvercrest for a quick profit. These are trades in addition to core positions in energy. Considered Copper Mountain and Enerplus on the open.
