Beginning of a bear market 2022?

I was pair trading between uvxy and spxl on 1/28/22. Let’s just say I was green for the day for those trades.

Doubtful. We aren't in a bear market when US GDP was +6.8% in the first quarter and a ton of NA companies are posting growing earnings.

Doubtful. But if Calhoun can claim trading victories when his calls are bad you sure as well can as well. We aren't in a bear market when US GDP was +6.8% in the first quarter and a ton of NA companies are posting growing earnings.

how is it doubtful if you don’t even know how I trade? Stop quoting fundamental and economic news crap. I don’t give a shit about gdp, inflation, Ukraine, chip shortage, US/Chinese trade war or invasion of Taiwan. I trade what I see on the charts

That's probably why you shorted SPX on Friday. I'm quoting stuff that matters even if you can't comprehend why. I do agree guys like you should stick to day trading. But if you are going to insist on making macro calls about markets well you'll have to deal with stuff that matters to markets.

I actually disagree with the premise. Most people who cling to this idea do so because they don't know how to read the underlying signs of strength or weakness in the markets. For instance, the market showed signs of weakness at the end of last year -- you didn't have to wait for price to completely break down.
