Quote from jack hershey:
here is a completed annotation of the first part of TASI.
Three other parts will follow.
the first charts are annotated with the points and ve's.
then just all the lines are drawn in for he later sheets. As homework you can add the points and ve's, etc.
finally you can add the points to the future annotations.
To complete the homeowrk write down on a log the order of events on the charts.
this is difficult to do the first 50 times you do a trend.

For some reason ET says a post was made but it doesn't appear.
Sorry that homework sheets 2 and 3 didn't make it.
Here is another try at sheet 2.
Quote from jack hershey:
fro the first long on homework sheet2 several things happened as the dominance of the market grw stronger.

Good for you.![]()
And you held your positions since May 2010 without trading in and out?
Please post a 60-min. chart of the Index from July 21, 2010 low.
From the data you sent me I hope you've noticed that the Index hit the 200-day mov. avg and backed down? And that there are long-term ma downside crosses.?

Quote from jack hershey:
maybe you can print the ovr all sheet and put in the slowest fractal points on that sheet.
the future moves are noted on sheet 4. You could replace it with a clean sheet and move the scale over past where the end of the long slow fractal will be ending.
The OP thinks short trading is not done on this index (TASI).
If this is a fact then the exchange will be frozen shortly or only instrument holders can exit from their longs to slowly collapse the exchange.
In a more general manner the holding of upsidedown instruments of debt instruments is going to be more common for a while. This is seen in several ways in the US presently.
In engineering terms this is a feedback loop function. Some loops are positive; others are negative.
The US is set up with negative feedback loops in the banking industry.
The Saudi TASI could also be set up as a negative feedback loop if short tradingis not allowed.
you can compare US and Saudi by looking at the days around early MAY.
The Saudi market failed the first time beginning 04MAY10 and the US market got a taste of negative feedback for a while on 06MAY10.
The US economy got its first taste of market failure in JUN06. Consult the collapse of the operation of debt payment in the banking industry. Prior to this period there was arange of performance and performance oscillated in that range. In JUN06 the range was violated by an accelerating uncoupled non performance.
As markets fail it is interesting to see which players do or do not meet thier responsibilities. In the US this is happening as a succession as more and more player sgments fail to meet their reponsibilities.
All of this is fun to watch if you are not affected. To continue to have immunity will take more and more savvy.
TASI is an interesting market in this respect.
Bolivia will be an opposite example since it is bigger than Saudi in terms of resource recovery for the future. Lithium extraction will replace oil extraction but on a large value scale.
