Beer, which is your favorite???

Quote from Lucrum:

I'm looking for a new beer to embrace.

I'm not much on coffee, chocolate or overly sweet flavors. And I'd prefer low hops and carbonation with at least average and preferably above average ABV%. Preferably something I can get easily in stores and well stocked bars. I'll drink an amber but tend to prefer the blondes and browns though I'll try most anything once.

Any and all suggestions welcome regardless of political or sexual orientation.

Sierra Nevada Glissade Golden Bock
ABV: 6.4%

This is a seasonal (now), however Sierra Nevada has wide distribution. I even found it at Walmart for $14 12-pk

Fat Tire Amber Ale
ABV: 5.2%

What ever you pick don't pick this one. It is one of the most God awful beers ever made.

LOL! I liked it as a kid.. but then I liked ANY kind of beer. The likely reason my dad bought it was because it was cheap.

I had been told "when you turn 14, you can have a whole beer yourself". It was this one. :D

We've all been there because as teens we take what we can get. Then we find out there is beer out there that actually tastes good.

Long thread, I've forgotten most of it, but I hope someone has mentioned the benchmark beer, that beer by which all others are judged... Pabst Blue Ribbon?

Tried some last night. Nice enough beer although I'm not sure it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Just finished a Sam Adams Boston Ale, very drinkable but still not the perfect beer for me.
