well, the forex brokers i'm dealing with don't widen the spreads. they just give the introducing broker a small cut of the existing spread.Quote from Steve_IB:
Whats the point? You only get rebates if they are widening the spread to accommodate the rebate. Why don't you just use an FX broker that offers tight spreads?

I have my own trading account and I am an introducing broker.I set up a "control" account whereas any commissions made get dumped. If you charge "outside the spread", then your commissions from your clients are updated daily.This is a really good way to trade yourself and reap the profits as well.
