I was a theist for more than 30 years and have read the book thru several times, attened more bible study classes than I can remember and even taught a few bible study classes for children.

It was during one of these bible study classes that I was asked two questions from a young girl about 10 years of age. The first question she asked was why didn't god know that satan was going to turn against him and how come he didn't know that he was going to have to drown all those people. I remember telling her some bs answer like; "Well, you just have to trust that god knows what he is doing." I couldn't shake those questions from my head and that's when the whole thing started to unravel. I had never done any opposite research on God or the Bible before because of my blind faith. I started to do the research and I discovered people like Hitchens and Sam Harris and there was an immediate the veil of the brainwashing that I'd been under since a young child started to lift. The more research I did the more the truth became clear. It was like this huge weight had been lifted from me. I discovered that the Jesus story had been plagierized several times and that satan was actually created when a Pope by the name of Damasus commissioned St. Jerome to translate the Bible into Latin somewhere around 385 AD. It's not clear if Jerome did this on his own or whether the Pope ordered him to do this. I guess the thing that sealed my disbelief in the Christian god was the fact that if a person was the best person that had ever lived, was a decent, moral and kind person that he was going to end up in hell unless he was fortunate enough to have been born to Christian parents and was raised as a Christian. Any other religion and that person was going to an eternal lake of fire to suffer eternally. According to the Bible that is what happens to people of any other faith. Does that sound like a loving god to you? Is there a god? I don't know but I'm pretty certain it's not the Christian god...

I think you should become a scientist so you can learn to believe in yourself instead of nothing, at least you'll be sure that the "God" is nowhere to be found, can not be found somewhere where mere mortals can hide valuable things(not in this world)... to teach yourself in understanding the small things in things in life, as in you were once a small thing in your mother womb and came into the world knowing good and bad will give you peace of mind that is nowhere and anywhere... the mirage in the desert can be visualized until it appears...you'll see an oasis if you're thirsty enough ...it good enough to keep you walking in that direction until you find real water...some die believing in nothing..some keep walking hoping they find an oasis...me I found a resort that the rich can afford because I walked that path and found out money is not the root of evil because it can build a mansion in the desert where you can have good sex until the viagra runs out...if you know what I mean...
It is IMPOSSIBLE for christians to get real, they continually live a lie, continually live in denial, continually spin bs.
Here currently we have hundreds to thousand of people being killed in Ukraine, the majority are innocent victims.
The majority are immediately going into eternal hell upon their death because they are not genuine christian, many will be professing or lukewarm christians, many will be agnostics and athiests, many will be children.
Hell is eternal and full of pain.

What's interesting to me is that Christopher Hitchen's brother, Peter Hitchens, was also an atheist for many years, yet renounced it for Christianity. He wrote a book called, "The Rage Against God." I have never read the book, but it does seem like the title accurately depicts some of the feelings many have about God.
Although several things you wrote about are concerning to me, such as the idea that one can be saved from hell by being born into a Christian family....I don't see that anywhere in the Bible.... I will only comment on one more thing. I don't know where you got your info about Satan. I think it's best to stick to reading just the Bible to form a basis of what the Bible actually says. The Hebrew Scriptures definitely mention Satan in several places and these Scriptures could not have been tampered with by Catholic priests.
