Beaten for acting white

Yawn. This story is played out every day, everywhere there are kids of all "colors". Remember when being a "nerd" or an egghead was uncool? This was the whole premise of the tough guy Fonz, wasn't it?
Yawn is right. And yes, black on black crime is played out everyday and the media yawns at the real problem in the black community, especially among the kids. The peer pressure is enormous on these kids to go ghetto and stay ghetto, but the media yawns. Black leadership, if you can call it that, yawns as well. White cop kills a thug...OMFG, outrage ensues. Well I yawn at the dead thug cause I really don't give a shit about another dead nigger. A black girl beaten by her own people for not being ghetto enough? Now that's a tragedy. Another dead spook in the street? Yawn.

A bit off topic ....

Are teachers now expected to be 'parents' to any thugs who can't behave in school? A lawsuit against the school and district because of kids who act like idiots? Anything for money I guess.

And before DB suggests this is a run down school, it's not. It's named for the late Jerry Zucker (a billionaire) whose wife is very involved in education and high poverty education. I've been in this school when I took a poor black kid there to see it, it's probably 5 or 6 years old, all the latest technology, swimming pool, etc.

I don't understand your comment. The students are suing because school officials apparently did nothing to stop race-based bullying and the creation of a hostile learning environment. We know very well the same administrators would have come down hard on white students who were abusing blacks, but they take a hands off approach when black goons make learning impossible.

AAA,

I think the suit is bogus. I've spent enough time in classrooms as a volunteer to know that the behaviors asserted by the parent of the kid are not tolerated by teachers. Kids are removed from class if they are disruptive. This is a middle school (grades 6 - 8). The kid was NOT prevented from learning .... if he was in class he had every opportunity to learn and achieve. I think the Mom is looking for some easy $$$.

A lawsuit filed last week in federal court claims a black student was subjected to a "hostile learning environment" because of the persistent use of racial slurs, including the N-word, obscenities and insults by his black classmates at a North Charleston middle school.

Tameika Guest, who is suing the Charleston County School District on behalf of her 12-year-old son, claims the child was intimidated and prevented from learning by the behavior of the other black students at Zucker Middle School.
