Depends upon how risk adverse one is. This is a trading site, and whether long or short, goal is to profit from short-term or even medium-term tactics.

you are talking about a 10 year outlook. That's a 1/3 (if someone is lucky) of their trading career. Only Warren Buffet thinks that far ahead.

I'm not buying 10 year-puts, but probably 1-3 month put spreads. And of course things could change, but I basically think trading from the short side will be more profitable than longs, over 1 - 5+ years.
