I haven't followed him for years but remember he was famous for pushing winners at a time when there were easy trends. Those early pros seemed to want one system for every Market, and did not believe in periodic re-optimization (several made tweaks, however, and are still in business)

But there are still easy trends. A very obvious one in this thread, except for the OP

Welp, after looking at overnight (for me) market action I have come to the conclusion a bull market continuation from here looks compelling on the surface but imo, lacks substance.
I had a good last 3 months run, money is in the bank, am just gonna twiddle my thumbs for a bit.
My feeling is Monday was a dumb money rally, however I could be wrong but it all looks a fascade to me, a puff of smoke which looks like a cannon but was really vape.

Is this wishy washy waffle ok?
