be humble ... giving back to society

I try to date girls in there early 20’s and guide them in my free time. It’s sort of like a spin off of big brothers with my own personal touch. You should love what you do and just remember you have a shot of helping someone in the process.

My niece one summer works for some Green Organization in San Francisco. She volunteers her time. Basically, they would drive a bunch of youths to neighboring city in the SF Bay Area, affluent area, and these youths would knock on doors, give their speech about about helping trees, etc., in the world, and beg for donation. At the end of the day, these youths are given a small percentage of their collections. The rest goes to pay the salary of the director of this organization, and to pay for the cost of the marketing magazine the marketing mailers they send out.

Unfortunately some charities are fraudulent. This is why people should do a little bit of research before handing out their money to just anybody who claims to be a charitable organization. Fortunately it doesn't take much effort to find out which ones are most deserving of your donations.

Check out http://www.charitynavigator.org/ to search their data on almost any charitable organization in America, review ratings, percentage breakdowns, and even CEO pay.

But I second St. Jude's. My fav. charity.

Yet there are so many ways to help out on the personal level by volunteering or on the monetary level by donating, etc... each has their own rewards I think; but as a person, you can only do so much... that's why it's so hard to make a huge difference and actually change the cause of the conditions instead of just treating the conditions.
