Quote from PoundTheRock:
People who give money to African charities are pretty stupid, especially since this money usually gets intercepted and goes into the pockets of some militant cretin. If you're going to walk the walk, then give up your job and get on a plane. Otherwise, you're doing jackshit.
Unfortunately some charities are fraudulent. This is why people should do a little bit of research before handing out their money to just anybody who claims to be a charitable organization. Fortunately it doesn't take much effort to find out which ones are most deserving of your donations.Quote from Adobian:
My niece one summer works for some Green Organization in San Francisco. She volunteers her time. Basically, they would drive a bunch of youths to neighboring city in the SF Bay Area, affluent area, and these youths would knock on doors, give their speech about about helping trees, etc., in the world, and beg for donation. At the end of the day, these youths are given a small percentage of their collections. The rest goes to pay the salary of the director of this organization, and to pay for the cost of the marketing magazine the marketing mailers they send out.

I try to date girls in there early 20âs and guide them in my free time. Itâs sort of like a spin off of big brothers with my own personal touch. You should love what you do and just remember you have a shot of helping someone in the process.

I once donated $1000 to LP Zoo, as I was told I would get a named-plaque in the Lion House. Amazing how many women get into that sort of thing.
