There is something about forex that just won't let you switch off at times.

I have an LCD monitor on my bedside table now, which I can use for music, music videos (or so the excuse to my better half) and of course checking quotes at night. Thanks to extended monitor cable and amazing bluetooth technology (10 metres / 30 ft range, goes through walls etc), I can use my keyboard and mouse without having to have a noisy PC next to my bed. I can really recommend it! :D

Hi Sci,

Sounds very nice. But what does your girlfriend think? LOL

Never mind quotes, she loves not having to get up to change music... Lasting relationships are built on the art of constructive compromise... :D

So far, I really like forex. The 24hr market is absolutely perfect for a night owl like me!

That technology sounds pretty cool. I'll have to look into it. Thanks!

Ouch!

I use 'em, but when I can check back and forth, I don't see the need. And, to be perfectly honest, I always have trouble deciding where to put a stop in a profitable position. I can't quite figure out the right balance between locking in profit, and giving it some wiggle room.

Thanks for the links. I'll definitely browse through them.

Hope you enjoy your vacation, Scientist. Sorry to see you cutting back on the board as I always enjoyed your posts.

Steve
Again, thanks for the words Baruch. Yes, it was about time to vacate (my first vacation in about 4 years), and very hard for me to accept the fact that I won't be "plugged in" for several weeks. My loved ones quelled any of my efforts to take a laptop or even pocket PC with me, so I guess it will just have to be. I might take Niederhoffer's "Practical Speculation" with me though. I said it's "more of an anecdotal book"... :D

The directional view of spot in the coming months:

EUR/USD: 50-50. No clear directional bias.

GRB/USD: Small directional bias for a weak GBP.

USD/JPY: Still a premium for the downside spot. USD puts priced higher.

CHF: The option market favours strong CHF - because of risk aversion and the increasing possibility of a rate hike in CHF.
