I saw an interview the other day with a pro bodybuilder and long story short, he worked his ass off, ate truckloads of food, and took every drug imaginable to climb up the ranks as a pro. Then one day he decides he's over the whole thing and decides it's time to pay closer attention to his health. He goes to the doctor and gets a checkup, and much to his surprise, he's healthy as can be. Empowered by his results, he stops the intense weight training, and he embarks on a new career path and starts eating fish daily as part of a new healthy living routine he's doing with his wife. A year later, he gets ridiculously sick to the point of near death and it drags on for months because no doctor could pinpoint the problem. Eventually, he finds a doctor who discovers that low and behold... his body has toxic levels of mercury from all the fish he'd been eating from his new healthy lifestyle.
