Baron's Crypto Trading Journal

I'm defending those who have a contrary opinion.
I don't know virtusa from a bar of soap, for all I know he could be a previously banned nic, he said himself he's been here before on et with a number of different user names.
I don't give a flying fuck about virtusa but his calls were right and the negative reaction he received makes me wonder if you guys are just wanting to bully the opposition.
Well bullying wont work.

Giving virtusa-is-a-liar credit for calling the top over $60K without putting into context that was also the top for all Tech stocks is improper

Not calling out virtusa-is-a-liar for being bearish and wrong on bitcoin before May 2021, when bitcoin was trading in the mid $30K, bitcoin went above $40K in July/2021, bitcoin went above $50K in Sept and bitcoin went above $60K in Oct/2021 is also improper. Where was virtusa-is-a-liar during those times?

No, we cannot bully Bitcoin price into going up nor bully it to go to a bull market. Bitcoin and cryptos bull market will happen when it happens

I've seen it before in 2014-2016 and in 2018-2020

I even posted that Bitcoin might go to $1,000 with this Genesis blowup as related to DCG and GBTC

Should I bully myself for saying something so bearish?

GBTC fund closing down and liquidating its btc holdings is a non-zero % probability

If that was to happen as a massive sell order, it could obliterate every order book out there and bring btc price to less than $1,000

I think it's about time for a palette cleanser.

So I recently got the Tesla Model S Plaid with a 0 - 60mph time of only 1.9 seconds.

And let me tell you. All the claims are legit. This thing is an absolute rocketship! I've never experienced acceleration in any other car before like this. So from a trader's perspective, any opportunity that you have to get into TSLA or another company focused on electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, etc. at a decent price, JUST DO IT. Your investment will prove to be so worth it within a few short years. This is the future.
Thank you Baron... Every time I see one I say it's my company at work!

My next call = 12k by late jan

And my call is 30K by late Jan. So neener. Because a call for lower BTC is a call for lower NDX, and we do not like your type around here.

My call is based on NOTHING. It is simply based on what you based YOUR call on, which is nothing. A GUESS. So I will take the opposite of your GUESS. The good news is, one of us will be correct! Woohoo! See? There are always winners, and no losers in the New World!

  • BTC is weak right now.
  • My prediction it will be less than $10,000 by the end of the year.

Hope so that I can buy more. If it goes back up to all time highs, I will be happy to provide proof of all of my trades. Just like I listed the 100's of trades I made in C2 which allowed me to managed other people's money and earn over $ 10,000 in subscriber fees.

@Laissez Faire

Since your very good with your stats, driving that Bitcoin has always come back after dropping 70-90%, isn't think 16k an excellent entry? Yes, I can hit 10k, or maybe lower, but the past 4-5 cycles show it always comes back.

Conversly, each fiat throught history has collapsed, 100%. Maybe some people don't live through it since it takes usually 100 years, but we are at the point now.

"Past results are no guarantee of future performance." :)

I'm not sure I'm very good with stats, but thanks for that compliment.

I know it's very difficult to imagine a system that is different than the one we all know. We just assume inflation with steal a little bit every year and they print a little more and life goes on. But eventually the system hits a brick wall and then it's mass chaos. What if we are in the 9th inning of what is possible with the current monetary system?

The Fed needs high interest rates to tame inflation so poor people don't revolt. But even the government cannot afford these high rates. As the treasuries have to roll over every few months, the costs get higher. It's an expense that cannot be paid. And high rates don't even cure the reason for this inflation.

For me the writing is on the wall. But yes, maybe it drags on another 5 years. But what I also believe is that as we deglobalize and countries don't trust eachother, Bitcoin is what will unite us all. Some say Putin started the war because he didn't want his oil priced in depreciating dollars. If the USD loses status, what will people turn to? Even gold isn't the answer as it's expensive to ship and you can't trust reserves. Bitcoin will be adopted.

Maybe. Maybe not. I've no idea, but it seems more likely to me that the current system will prevail than collapse. I'm no expert on macro economics.

Virtusa had the balls to stand up against all the crypto bulls
If you call "balls" sitting behind a keyboard and typing an opposing opinion through an anonymous username, then yeah, I guess you're right.

Now if he would have called BS on my trades and took the opposite position with equivalent money in his own account and documented such activity for verification, then those actions would have been worth giving out some compliments for. But he's never made a crypto trade in his entire life, nor will he according to his own posts because he doesn't understand why anyone would ever use cryptos to begin with since the fiat system is so perfect.

If ET were a forum full of yes men and women all in agreement, it would be a sorry site.
Further since when does one need to have money on the table to give a trading opinion?
Bottom line, virtusa made some calls and they were in the direction of prevailing trend - downward.
In the meantime Baron and Johnarb are bullish and wrong!
You are buying in a falling market, your timing is shit and virtusa is being verbally hammered, eg made a scapegoat because he's not a yesman.
Johnarb is like a yapping dog constantly repeating "virtusa is a liar" but nobody is complaining about that.
I wish surf would come along, then we'd have a real ding dong journal. :)
Actually this journal is just like surf's. :)
