Otherwise, a misleading perception would allow that friends and families of any financial traders would think, according to the P&R current criteria/standards, the norm of financial traders when talking about politics would be commonly behaving like those in the forum.

Something like "
Policies and Politics

For decent and respectful discussion only. Be careful for offensive comments that could cause complaints. " LOL
 
It's not about today or tomorrow, or who should be banned or not. It should be based on content. I know you are just asking a rhetorical question. You want to be a trading related forum? Then why hosting political hate speech and bigotry. With all due respect I find the rational of hosting because it keeps such content out of the regular forums incredibly weak. You have managed to run a rather clean forum for years before without P&R. At least I have not seen any KKK dukes roaming the options trading section. Obviously you have other reasons why you host P&R. Nurturing an alternative venture you intend to spin off in due time?

I love to read dissenting opinions, especially when they are backed up by logic. The absolute floor under all those debates should, however, be a truth based approach. When lies and fake news enter the equation is when I turn off and when others' personae and life achievements are denounced based on obvious lies and falsehood and when the end goal is character assassination based on lies then that should get every normal citizen angry. We all have lost temper and have given in to emotions but there are individuals who never post anything but fabrications and lies, day in day out. I agree with @Frederick Foresight, having a basement is good but when the worst filth blossoms then a little maintenance would make this forum a way better place

ET looks incredibly simple, but that is because Baron has done an incredible job hiding the complexity under the hood.

And btw, this structure allows your trading related posts to be routed to collocated machines at 350 E. Cermak.

I'm just curious, is there any significance to Baron having all or part of his site hosted at 350 E. Cermak? Could this possibly be an ad from a vendor and the url reference to 350 E. Cermak was from the vendor?

Is there any advantage to being in that data center over having hosting in Amazon AWS/EC2? Maybe Baron's webhost selected the location and not him? Does he leverage a CDN and maybe I would see a different set of data then you did in tracert?

Baron, xandman is impressed that all or part of your site is at one of the largest data centers in the world at 350 E. Cermak, was this your choice? Do you use a CDN and depending on our location in the world in accessing your website we all might see different data centers? Again I just want to understand why xandman is so impressed with what is under the hood of this site. Hey this site is awesome no doubt! But what about what is under the hood?
 
They were never intermingled before or can you remember a single instance where someone in trading related forums ever expressed hatred towards another race or religion based on lies and falsehood and that day in day out over months? Anything before P&R was set up? You cite the intermingling of such content with trading related content as argument but circumstantial evidence kind of weakens that argument, no?
