This entire thread is amusing... considering the characters involved.

Now let's get back to my basic thoughts. The Politics forum is filled with posts from people with divergent perspectives. I hope it can be used for a polite discussion of political policy and events. I also ask that people be civil to one another. The recent trend of posting the same stuff over & over again as threads with either the same or slightly different titles does not add anything to the discussion but simply frustrates readers. As does starting dozens of new threads every day. Likewise continually posting the exact same article over & over again in threads is an abuse of the forum.

Let me recollect the points made by a moderator at one point in time in regards to the "not for faint of heart" P&R forum. The following would likely get you banned.
1) Continuously insulting and abusing another poster.
2) Threatening another poster or a public figure with physical harm.
3) Continuously posting the same thing over & over again to the point it is abusive.

That is my understanding of the rules that Baron and other moderators have put into place. They seem reasonable IMO. One of them can expand on this if necessary.

I reread this post. I was pretty happy with it overall except I made one error. I should have not put the word "rights" after the words "free speech". (since this is a privately owned forum)

You have a very respectable very light touch when it comes to censoring free speech rights. You believe in the market place of ideas. I always thought if I had a forum I would follow the same practice.

That is, until, I saw this post election tactic brought to you by a group or groups with a devious plan. The left on this site does not win with quality content as they are typically one post deep... so they created a new strategy. Big Noise.

In short they have created approximately 10 times the noise in your Signal to Noise ratio.

When you come here there are now precious few interesting threads at the top of the board. They keep posting dozens of useless threads with slight variations and fake news. They also destroy the meaningful threads with derails. (I know as I fall for it.)

I am not asking you to ban anyone. I am providing an observation. I wonder how long a site with a high noise ratio will do well in the search rankings. I also wonder how long true content providers and those who enjoy real conversations with the other side will remain.

1&2 are without doubt indefensible. 3 is very tricky, and there are arguments for it and against it.

I run a fools errand on this site because I do this out of the love of this country, trying to as best I can to instill facts and reason where it is lacking. Even though it may appear otherwise, I believe in the people of the USA to eventually come around to the right fix to the current disastrous situation. Trump is not the problem - he is the symptom of a much deeper problem. Debate is healthy, and opposing views are very uncomfortable.

Is there bias in my beliefs? Sure - I am a very progressive democrat. But I rarely if ever attack the man [I get pissed once in a while just like anybody else]. I attack their ideas and sources.

If someone offered to pay me to state my beliefs on this site or anywhere in existance, EVEN WITH NO STRINGS ATTACHED, I would refuse the kind gesture. I do not believe I could continue to be myself.

Just don't understand why you flipped out one day and disappeared, then returned under a new nick name. To me, that is somewhat deceiving. It wasn't until today I even knew you were Nitro.

Everyone has moments when they lose it - when I do I feel ashamed afterwards to the point I can't sleep for my infraction. I move forwards by forgiving myself.

We are made of flesh and blood. That means mistakes.

We have had examples of number 3 -- normally they were very obvious... for example posting the same image over 200 times.

This is a joke right? I literally argue every one of my points to the end, accusing me of cut paste because you are unable to refute it is laughable.

Tell me, where did DNC even talk about the propaganda about LA county that you guys have been blabbering about all day? If DNC was actually that efficient, they may not be losing so many seats to Cons who just peddle lies all the time.
