Barney Frank: What Housing Bubble?

Quote from misterno:

I used to work for JP Morgan Chase back in 1999 in Boston and this guy came over to have a speech about gender equality in the workplace or something like that. Man, he has so much pride in himself. It takes guts to say I am gay in front of the finance community.

I don't remember if he was a senator back then.

He wasn't.

One of the major players in running this country into the fucking ground.

Arguably, the man most responsible for destroying the US housing market & creating the bubble due to forcing Fannie/Freddie to give up to 28% loans to so-called "disadvantaged Americans."

He also was the chief obstacle to Republican efforts to reign in Fannie/Freddie's over-leverage.

The long-term results of his original market manipulation are coming to the fore now. Combine him with Greenspan and you have two of the biggest dumbfucks ever.

Ironically, he is one of the loudest Bush critics, and yet he was running the Finance Committee for the last 3 years.

What a piece of human sewage.
