Barack Obama Wants Your Money As You Tumble From The Fiscal Cliff

Quote from Free Thinker:

you wont see me in your streets. i dont travel in your circles. anyplace someone like you would be i would try to avoid. i am not fond of any rednecks much less smart mouthed juvenile rednecks.

Hey, dumbass, I live on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Yeah, I'm such a redneck. The reason I don't see you "in my circles" is because you can't afford to live where I do.

Once again, you show your ignorance.

Quote from Free Thinker:

sure you have. did your mommy let you keep it all. lol

Unfortunately, only enough to pay your mommy to lick my balls daily.

Yeah, it was only a few dollars. What can I say, your mother is a VERY cheap date. On the plus side, she is always willing to go beyond the call of duty and do more than what she gets paid for. Never seen a chick so willing to lick an assh*le. It's like that's what she was born to do.

I don't know if you are right, and it IS robbing Peter to pay Paul. I don't know. Can't argue with that. If what you say is true, than I suppose your opinion depends on whether you are Peter or Paul.
Is it possible that it is in Peter's best interest, in the long run, to be robbed?

And yes, I agree, some of that debt at least will have to be monetized and that will result in inflation. I think you are about as close to 100% probability as one can get on that.

And interest rates, well they really have not much room to go lower do they? So I would have to agree that they will go up from here, but when I don't know. Higher rates = bad for those who must borrow; good for those who can lend. Inflation = bad for those holding cash or on fixed incomes; good for those in debt.

Re: interest rates, I was talking about serving the debt. Higher rates would accelerate the day of reckoning. Ultra-low rates havr allowed us to reach debt levels we wouldn't have imagined in the past.

As for consumers, I agree; there would be winners and losers.

How about lowering the SS age to 55? We have too many people looking for work as it is.

Plenty of farm work in central Cali. White boyz don't want to go out in the fields....

Quote from logic_man:

Yeah, it does. Being paid actual money in exchange for your labor tends to give you an objective view of where you stand in society.

You know, because someone was willing to take real money out of their pocket to give it to you.

As opposed to people like you who want to believe you are valuable to society, but no one will pay you. Life isn't a Disney movie where the main character's secret identity is unknown to the rest of the world and we all will regret not valuing you as highly as we should have.

So, has anyone actually ever paid you 6 figures for a year's worth of labor or do you just delude yourself that you are worth that much?

I've been very fortunate throughout my life, for which I am grateful. What little I have accomplished is largely the result of the help and support of others. I've been very well compensated for doing what I loved to do, and I am eternally grateful for all those who made that possible.

Servicing the debt is obviously a huge concern and I suppose that is why one can forget about deflation. The Fed will obviously do whatever it takes to assure that we will not have to pay on debt with dollars worth more in buying power than the dollars borrowed!

Low rates go hand in hand with the Fed's purchase of Treasuries. They can't do this forever, though they could try, but they can do it for a very long time.

Well, maybe if you had to compete for your paycheck like I have, you'd realize that other people really don't give a right good shit about whether or not you're grateful for what you get in life.

Don't come to the big city, is what I'm trying to say. Your feelings might get hurt.
