Last I "googled up" on money laundering and tax evasion they were both considered to be crimes. And i'm just guessing here because I haven't "googled up" on it, but I think Bank Fraud is also a crime. Kissing up to a criminal is not a crime as long as you don't shelter, aid or abet, so I think you should be safe.

Sadly, they don't. They only relate to time behind bars. But I have heard Federal Prisons are Country Clubs, so maybe not so bad after all.

I must admit I go back and forth on the issue of firing Mueller. People whose opinions I respect have made reasonable arguments that Mueller is no real threat to Trump and that the failure of his investigation will vindicate Trump.

The downside is that Trump's administration is tied up for years dealing with Mueller and his jack-boot tactics against people whose only real crime was to serve Trump in some fashion. It has become apparent that the entire Mueller investigation was rigged from the get-go and based on bogus grounds.

The real problem however is not Mueller. It is the Justice Department, a rogue agency with no apparent leadership and in open defiance of not only the President but the congress as well. Trump has only a few high level slots there that he can appoint. So the AG goes AWOL on the only important thing before him and he also appoints a moron/Deep State operative as his number two and lets him run Mueller.

Let Mueller stay for a while. But it is imperative to replace Sessions and Rosenstein. Let the new AG undertake a review of the investigation, thus requiring Mueller to bare all his evidence. If it is underwhelming, terminate the investigation. Trump will need an AG with balls. I think Rudy G or Christie would be the men for the task.

I thought it was good speculation a year ago... but, it looks to me Mueller is off looking for other ways to nail trump now.

I would be amazed if his lawyer payed out six figures to daniels without some plan for pay back. The question is were they smart enough and did Cohen trust Trump enough to make no record of it or no mention of it? I doubt it. I would think there would have been at least a phone call and vague reassurances .. And, this was probably illegally recorded by the deep state.

And they needed a way to bring evidence into to court legally. They needed a way around the fruit of the poisonous tree objection.

This search of Cohen's office was probably an attempt to find evidence of this agreement that they could get admitted in court.
I wonder if they found it.

what are the chances Cohen who frequently serves as an agent for Trump (that is what the attorney part of being a lawyer is) would go ahead and make that payment without authorization? I do not think an attorney would ever do something so significant without authorization. So I suspect they will find a way to make that a campaign contribution violation.

Trump will have to argue he did not waive the privilege with his tweet. I think Tree posted an article where an attorney was already arguing Trump's tweet already waived his privilege on this issue.

And the existence of a warrant to search an attorney's office probably means they already showed a judge they had something significant on Cohen or Trump.
