No point to argue with OP. What he wrote is very incorrect and plain stupid. The most of gun violence happens in US, where gun laws are the strictest. Chicago is a good example.

It is true, nearly every great British band had to migrate to the US to really make it.
On the original point, in my experience many Brits do not have a true appreciation for libertarianism. It's this philosophy / ideology that should take precedence. It would be a shame if it were eroded any further in the US. In this respect citizens should be allowed to own weapons... and a whole load of other things that are currently prohibited.
