Booksmarts and higher education are generic in today's society. True intelligence and street smarts are quite more esoteric.

you never know what you will need. when i went to high school i was forced to take typing. i just blew it off because why in the world would i ever need to know how to type.( computers were not invented then) so now what do i do every day for a living. i type on a computer.

Why wouldn't they want to go to larger universities where these "connections" would be much more expansive?
