I never use physical stops, but I'll have a mental stop at a short term support level, if it is broken and if there is not enough time for a recovery by expiry due to theta.

But I understand your expiry time stop concept.
Also....like your "full disclosure" on an open trade, not a lot of that in this forum. Lots and lots of opinions though !

What's can hurt you and also help you is the gamma is reference to time. Gamma is a derivative of the delta, and it increases across time, as such, it increases the rate of change of the delta. Hoepfully, your delta is on the right side of 0.5 near the end. >0.50 more responsive to upticks. <0.5 more responsive to downticks.
