this is why i dislike about new york... the NYT think they really are sitting on the top of the world... i want to see a "quality of life" survey from "bankers" around the world... do you really think Manhattan is the best place to live and work? how about making huge money in LA, miami or sydney?, monaco? sao paulo? i dont think is the girl/guy ratio matters when you have a cash flow

NYC is an expensive rathole. I ain't paying income tax to a City or State. Florida is the best in this regard.

Outside, there is always a few bankers, and one day it came to a showdown because we had heard enough. One of us asks the guy, "so how many hours do you guys work?" The guy, trying to impress, says some huge number of hours, and that he takes home a stick. My bud responds, that he works 30 hours a week, takes home 15 sticks, and then he goes and hooks up with the bankers' gf while he is slaving away. It would depend on individual tastes. Manhattan is the best for one type of person, while another city is better for others. I imagine NYC would be to crowded and bustling for my taste, and the other people from Sydney that I know have been to NYC have felt the same. On the other hand, someone who thrives on that activity might think Sydney feels empty and that there's not enough action. Different preferences, different lifestyles.
