Bank Of America Raising Its Minimum Wage To $20 An Hour

...
America is awash with college grads that can't afford to move out of their parent's home let alone pay off their student debt.

It is not about affording. It is because they are too stupid to know how to do it.

Trump cut the corporate tax rate. Nothing wrong with that, should have. There was an expectation, however, that the reduced taxes would lead to hiring more jobs and higher wages for the workers. Apparently hasn't worked out that way... instead, the taxes saved have been directed into stock buy-backs.
Why are companies using it to buy back stocks? Aren't there better ways to spend the extra money?

There is still alot that has been spent on expected growth and investments.

Quote from Washington Post:
"So? Almost a year later, investments by Standard & Poor’s 500 largest public companies on new equipment and factories have jumped nearly 19 percent in the first three quarters of 2018, to about $475 billion, according to Howard Silverblatt of S&P Dow Jones Indices. That doesn’t account for spending by the many thousands of other public and private companies.

Companies also increased research and development spending by 34 percent, to nearly $175 billion, in the first three quarters of this year.

Cash-rich Apple is a huge buyer of its own stock, but it also invests a ton in its business. Apple is spending $14.2 billion in research and development for 2018, according to regulatory filings. That is up 23 percent from a year ago. Apple also is spending $16.7 billion in capital expenditures this year."

Have heard a lot about that policy, what do you think ? Yes, Amazon as well like 2 or so years ago, it's all good for lowest paid guys but will it increase inflation and prices overall ? I would just slash that multimillion salaries of that top CEO's everywhere around the world;)
