Ban Tea and Coffee for More Important Foods

Quote from bearice:

I think no animal eats tea leaves and the same applies to coffee beans.

No animal eats chilly and pepper. Only human beings eat what animals do not eat. Why?

ROFL
This is just plain wrong. Every word of it.

Quote from bearice:

Millions and millions of hectares of worldwide land is used for Tea and Coffee productions. Tea and coffee is not important for human beings.

The worldwide land used for Tea and coffee should be used for production of Wheat, Corn and other important foods that gives strength to good human beings. When millions and millions of hectares of additional land is used for cultivation of important foods, the world food price will fall to great extent.

Something has to be sacrificed to bring down the price of important foods. Basically ban worldwide tea and coffee productions.

Most places that produce or coffee are highlands that are not not productive for food crops.

bearice: loving your posts tonight.

1st: married women (who for a large part according to you work for hobby) shouldn't work because they take jobs away from men and single women.

2nd: tea and coffee, useless.

Let me chip in:

3rd: all fossil fuel 'fueled' economic activity should stop, immediately. As it is unhealthy for humans and true external costs are not generally considered.

Quote from GTG:

Shows how much you actually know about farming. Wheat will not grow on any of that land that is used for coffee or tea production, and it's doubtful you could grow corn on much of it either.
Wheat is a grass and Grass has conquered/ruled every land on Earth. Grass grows in deserts and Grass grows in extreme snow regions of the world.

Alternatively you can grow grass instead on tea and coffee and feed the grass to cattle, sheeps, goats and other animals.

I have lots of knowledge about wild world. I can survive in Siberia and I can survive in Sahara desert.

I can survive 20,000 feet under the sea/ocean waters (joking). Farming is no comparison to my world knowledge.

It really is just not that simple.

The problem is not the amount of food it is the transportation of it. improve infrastructure and more food will be eaten rather than wasted.

Quote from bearice:

The millions of farmers and workers employed in Tea and coffee production will be get employed in important food production industry such as Wheat, Corn etc.. No unemployment but cheap important food. Think about it.
I cannot think of any practical or economically efficient crops that could be grown in tea producing areas that would provide the same revenue or employment and I would imagine most coffee plantations could not be readily turned over to any other crop other than some fruits.
