What about shopping? Do you have most of the things you find in the US? Are there US chain stores there, what are grocery stores like? Computer supplies? Bookstores like B&N? Is there some open space inland to ride a motorcycle? What 's the cost of owning a vehicule (import or local, local taxes, gas prices)?

If you want to shop, fly to Miami.

Lots of space.

Expensive, gas is almost $3 ...

I read an ad that a 3 bed house in New Prov. with pool and tennis court, costs about $470K. Is it reasonable? Is this the current price level for such a house in NP? I think it is not too expensive in comparison to the European market. (I am from the UK)

well of course almost every home outside the UK looks inexpensive. The UK housing market is the most ridiculously expensive when you see what you get: small houses with no modern comfort , uncontrolled developments, dirty streets, unsafe neighbourhoods and ... bad weather .

Sounds too inexpensive for there ...
