Not to imply it is perfect, 3 murders on this island this year, all local on local; misc. petty crime.

However, where else would you walk with your wife on a totally deserted beach and not worry ...

hey who has a good resource/ ideas re offshore companies, how to establish yourself in the bahamas, is it legit for tax shelters, any ideas how that works, is it worth the hassle?

eg is info in this book ok?

What about the VAT. I read somewhere Bahamas wants to introduce this bullshit tax.

When I lived in Sweden their VAT was 23% in 1995 it went up to around 25%, if I remember correctly.

For those of you that need to know VAT=Value Added Tax.

Here in the USA we call it sales tax.

Some Tax activists believe in a flat tax system which would utilize this type of tax collection process.

Well....this is everything I know about the subject.
