And how do I prove it?

Thanks. I appreciate your replies.

Basically ...

How or even if you have to prove it is easy; we never did.

If you are serious send me a PM and I will tell you what you need to know.

Huh? Where did you used to be in the food chain & where are you now?

The thread wasn't readily visible; now for a brief moment in time it is back at the top, for the third time in just a few minutes ...

Yes, but there are certain exemptions that make it attractive.

could you elaborate a little?

If memory serves, you can hide the first 70,000 or so if you spend 330 days of the year offshore (or something like that). Is that correct?

Now $80K, plus some housing, etc.. If your wife works in the business, double it. There are a couple of tests for foreign residency, not hard.

It is not hiding; very legal ...

Sorry.....

It is legal, I was not trying to imply that it is not.

I did not even think about including your significant other. 160K. Not bad at all.

I have heard alot of mixed things about the Bahamas. Tourist trap, high crime rate, etc, etc.

If there were no tax breaks, would you still be there?

I have been to the Dominican Republic, and absolutely loved it. Still not sure I would want to live there full time though.
