Bah-humbug

How many of you bah-humbugs are spending time in the kitchen making cookies and brownies and fudges and rice krispy treats for the holidays?
My 5 year old tells me that we need to practice making sweets so we can pick out the very best to leave for Santa on Christmas eve. My 5yo seys that the better snack we leave, the better gifts we'll get. Well, I can't (wont?) argue with that logic. Therefore, I've been in the kitchen 3 nights in a row with the little one making sweets.

Damn I hate this time of year.

That's sweet, enjoy the moment. When he's 15 and on the road hitting parties with his buds driving you'll wish you could return to this simplicity.

Well, it's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right
You can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

It's not far to never-never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right
You can find the joy of innocence again
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Yust you wait and see
Believe me

Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy, it gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me

Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

[Instrumental Interlude]

Well it's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right
you can sail away and find serenity
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free....
