Bad Quotes During Volume Spikes

I was wondering if any prop traders (with bright, echo, assent, etc...) have been having rediculously slow quotes in ALL the ecns during the last few days volume spikes?

trying to figure out if its the internet, vpn, or what

Many poor quotes as of late. However this is a part of what happens on a daily basis. When this happens I like to key on two important things in my trading style:

1. What is the S&P doing this time. Is it spiking, is it going down or is it trending.
2. Watch the Time and Sales on that particular stock so I can guage the trading area of that stock. I pay much more attention to this and L2 screen.

I have and it is because of the volatility and is a vpn issue.
