Backup data source for Quotetracker

Is it possible to add a 2nd quote source so in case the primary quote source(ie - Ameritrade) goes down or is lagging, the backup quote source(ie - IB) can take over feeding the quotes for charting? If so, do I have to register in order to add IB as a backup?

You can definitely add multiple quote sources but I'm not sure if there's a way to automatically have it switch over during a lag. I normally just switch to my backup quote sources manually.

If you already maintain a long-term investment account with someone like Fidelity, that can be a good backup quote source in case your active trading broker's quotes aren't working well. In order to add IB as a backup you would need to register. You could also just pay about $22/month to either MarketFeed or StockWatch and use that as your backup.
