Backtesting with AI?

That's a stupid take. So according to your logic it's not a good idea to create anything.

It's not stupid at all.

For any goal, some things work, others just don't. Some things are a pure waste of time.

Intelligence means also being capable of early understanding and discriminating what cannot possibly work (this can be assisted by opinions of other people more experienced in the same or similar endeavor).

Otherwise, there would be just long hard work with negligible or no results... :-)

True.

Guys, do not fall for the idiotic hype!

AI ? Just another retarded hype word for something almost as old as I am. We have seen many of these idiotic words ("data mining", "business intelligence", "cloud", "big data", "data science", "quantum finance", ... bla bla bla).

It's just "software", algorithms, and databases. And software just reflects and incorporates the intelligence of the coders.

If you hire stupid underpaid coders, your software will also show that. There is no doubt about that.

Let alone that almost nobody has the slightest idea of what intelligence and consciousness really are.
Artificial "intelligence" does not exist.

"Natural" idiocy and intellectual dishonesty, as well as greed, are real things, instead :)
