BABA

yup. i was already heavy into it and around 220 ish and ran it all the way up.. didnt tak eany profits. and bougght a lot more today at 226 222 and 214 ! i have 12% of everything in BABA now.
5 % in BIDU they will be google and amazon in 10 years easy!
 
About 13 months ago I bought BABA at $179.27...I then did a leap (covered call) Jan 21 at $180. I got over $21. for it ($2,100. and change). It got called away about 6 months ago. Was fine with them making their profit. I got over a 15% annual return buy just buying and holding.

I'll look at BABA again...But it might be months. Just wondering what the class action suits can get out of a Chinese company. Jack Ma is/was a member of the communist party. He had a lot of sway. We'll see what happens. It may be a buy then do another covered call on. If the stock drops 20%, buy the call back and get out of it...Never to return.
 
It was quite a bullish stock.

past few weeks, it gapped down 3 times.
those who had shorted it earlier should be very happy.

when there is major news/change,
there will be trading opportunities, not trading problems
and not trading headache.
Look out for such opportunities and seize them.
