What's New With Version 1.12b

* Added option to display market depth information. When you collect your simulation data, it will also collect market depth data, so when you later playback the data, it will display the market depth information as well.

* Increased size of Quantity entry field.

* Fixed Contract Details windows close button problem.

* Fixed the ticksize setting for stocks. ContractDetails API is returning 0.001 instead of 0.01.

I was just trying out your "Autotrader" and I think it's and excellent program. I really like the replay feature.

Have you seen the replay feature in Ensign Software. There are tick by tick intraday files for the NQ and ES futures available from Ensign that you can play back at up to 10X normal speed to simulate a trading day. It's a lot of fun and great training too.

It would be neat if Autotrader could replay the data from Interactive Brokers and also feed any charting program that normally works from Interactive Brokers data such as Medved Quotetracker. It would also be nice if you could adjust the speed of the playback so you'd be able to practice an entire trading day in an hour or less.

I've made my own simulator that works with Microsoft Excel and the data from IB. It's at this site:

I'd love to make a playback feature like I'm talking about but unfortunately I don't know enough about programming to be able to do that. My only hope is to get someone with more programming skill like you interested in making one.

I like your simulator. It would be great if you could somehow implement stop and limit orders. The market orders only make it too limited for testing my trading strategies.
 
and if it works the same in the real trading mode then you better watch your TWS carefully.

Looks like I will finally have to write my own trading platform because all that I have seen so far is either bloated or does not work for all Windows platforms or has been designed by someone who has no clue what the trader really needs.
