Auto Power Shut off for Monitors/Win NT

FYI - according to the Matrox specs, the G400/G450 can support a primary monitor up to a resolution of 2048x1536 (it also supports the wide display resolutions too) and a secondary monitor up to a resolution of 1280x1024

Thank you for your replies.

I was actually interested in the Matrox G200 series cards not the G400 or G450. The G200 cards appear to be superior to the G400 or G450 cards.

My concern with the Appian cards were primarily from the fact that their cards were not listed on Microsoft's Hardware Compatibility list for Windows 2000. But it sounds like the Appian cards do work under Windows 2000.

This is an old thread, and it got a little off subject...anyway, the original post was about how to automatically shut off your monitors if you're going to leave for a few hours, and don't want to constantly turn the monitor buttons on and off all the time. (On Windows NT) Anyway, if you go to control panel--display--hot keys, there's a hot key setting for enter power down mode. I don't know whether it also turns off your hard drive or what, or whether you're even supposed to do that, but that's one way to do it. If you hit ENTER when you come back to your computer, it will come back on.
