Australians have lost a little over AUD 13.3 million to various investment scams in the first half of this year, shows data of Scam Watch – a service maintained by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. The investment scams have brought the most losses, the data shows.

Absurd worthless "news".
I easily found a comparable number- Australians waste $8 Billion in food each year.
So while scammers were getting their $13.3 million in 6 months, Australians casually wasted $4 Billion in food.
Maybe the scammers should wise up and raid Australians' refrigerators and pantries.
They would be getting many billions of dollars rather than paltry millions.
