I see Main Beach and Broadbeach are both like 2km from Surfers Paradise.
Why not Surfers Paradise? Too touristy/noisy?

Maybe I should specify that I'm not a party animal but would like to be near to everything without needing a car. Some kind of apartment near beach with all the facilities would suit me best.
Walking to a beach and have a game of beach volleyball between trading would be nice as well :)

Yeah, maybe I'm imagining it too optimistically. I guess I'll rent there something for a month and see.
