Australia using Covid to begin facial recognition w/ geolocation. "It's for your own good."

Its a trial.
Its about those who are required to self isolate.
Those who need to self isolate are inbound travellers from other areas of high risk locations within Australia, its not about overseas tourists I believe.
It means people are allowed to self isolate at home rather than a 'detention centre' (hotel or motel or other government appointed centre).
It saves on police needing to check individuals who may wish to skip self isolation.
Again; it's only being trialled.

Police don't need to check on people in the first place. This is the same party that says police kill every black they come in contact with. They want a police state.

Why would they send a cop to check on someone with possibly an "extremely deadly (99.9% survival rate) and contagious" virus? Wouldn't that be helping it spread and therefore counterproductive?

I don't really care to give anything "gab" a click but OZ has been implementing some garbage laws, much of which seem to becoming from the conservative elected officials. I like this channel which exposes many such laws.
