It really is funny how these guys work, they uniformly believe Bush was the worst president in history and their only excuse for Obama's repeated failures is that Obama is supposedly doing slightly better than the worst president in history....

Like I said earlier, congratulations Obama, you have managed to convince voters that you should be 1 spot better than the worst president in history, you must be proud.....

I'll bet the president would be singing a different tune today if 310,000 jobs was the number. 2004 he wasn't happy at all.

Other than for elections purposes, I honestly believe obama and his crowd are just fine with the employment numbers. The more people out of work, the more people in desperate financial straits, the more people who see no future, the easier it is to get them to go along with radical socialist programs. WTf do they have to lose?

Also, you have to understand that the economy and jobs are way down on Obama's list of priorities. Of course, he will read speeches about jobs for his reelection, but look at his actual policies, a toxic blend of job killers. Obamacare is the most obvious, but look at his EPA. They've enacted rules to make it impossible to burn coal or build new coal plants. china and India meanwhile are building hundreds a year to take advantage of this abundant, cheap and non-terrorist controlled source of energy. For Obama, making a gesture to radical environmentalists is more important.

Similarly, he stalled and tried to kill the canadian pipeline, which would have brought in cheap oil and created tens of thousand sof jobs just building it. Same story with drilling in the gulf and alaska. Cheap energy and good jobs seem to be two things he hates.

Financial reform is obviously necessary, but the way obama has approached it has been a disaster. At the same time, all the so-called "reforms" would do nothing to address the cause of the last financial crisis.

Disability Ranks Outpace New Jobs In Obama Recovery

More workers joined the federal government's disability program in June than got new jobs, according to two new government reports, a clear indicator of how bleak the nation's jobs picture is after three full years of economic recovery.

The economy created just 80,000 jobs in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. But that same month, 85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in the Social Security Disability Insurance program, according to the Social Security Administration.

The disability ranks have outpaced job growth throughout President Obama's economic recovery. While the economy has created 2.6 million jobs since June 2009, fully 3.1 million workers signed up for disability benefits.

In other words, the number of new disability enrollees has climbed 19% faster than the number of new jobs created during the sluggish recovery. (Even after accounting for people who left the disability program because they died or aged into retirement, the disability ranks have climbed more than 1.1 million in the past three years.)
