Aunt Jemima, Gone. Lol

It's all fake oppression, there is no oppression in the United States, none, nada, zero, doesn't exist. You can't own a iPhone and call yourself oppressed. You know who is oppressed? The kid in the Congo mining the ore for the phone, that's who is oppressed. You can't own a pair of Nike shoes and call yourself oppressed? The slave labor children making those shoes, they're oppressed.
King James like to call the NBA owners slave masters who then pay him tens of millions to play a fucking game, but this ungrateful fuck has no problem taking more millions from the actual slave trading shoe company.
What we have going on is emblematic of a nation with too much wealth, too much opportunity, too much free time, and far too much sense of self importance. Life is simply too easy here in America. The question is often asked, why do the radical Islamist hate us so much and the simpletons will answer, they hate us for our freedom. No morons, they hate us for living like Kings and then bitching about it like a bunch of whiney cunts.

Talk about moving the goal posts. Oppression is only if people are forced into labor according to good old captain obvious.

For you, you mean. It doesn't exist for you.

Really? So that's the standard? Well, that was easy.
It doesn't exist for anyone in this country. Just because someone isn't getting everything their heart desires does not mean they're oppressed. it just means they're spoiled and think they deserve something simply because they want it.

I think you are living in a different world than the one you keep talking about.

Ok we now know the context of Cap'n posts if no one is oppressed at all and there is 0 racism. It makes it easier to see where someone is coming from when they post.

Little boys often become fascinated by 'bad words' at a certain age. I don't think the lads have got past the comic strip years.

That said I don't agree with renaming things in other English speaking nations because they happen to be derogatory in the US but mean nothing there. We have more than enough of American stupid spreading about already.

Not sure I can agree with all of this - you're saying that complaints have been made on AJ for a long time and finally they get to the breaking point? Complaints are made on lots of things and are ignored because we - normally - ignore the fringe complaints.

Still, can you imagine what we could do if we put all this energy behind correcting real problems? You know, like curing cancer? Or eliminating human trafficking? How about sound economic policy? Fixing medical insurance? Hell, I can name about two dozen things were in the course of a year we'd have a solution if this kind of energy was behind it.

Instead, we want to change historical characters on a syrup bottle.

Well to be fair there are billions of dollars and hundreds of research facilities attacking cancer daily as we speak. Not only in this country and around the world. And if you want my opinion there is no cure for cancer, only better treatments. I would say I can google hundreds of sites committed to fighting human trafficking and there are even some world organizations getting involved.

Sound economic policy ......I think the White Houst and Congress prove why that is not going to happen.

Changing the figure on a syrup bottle is actually quite easy but it seems no one cared for 40 years or so to do anything about it. People did not riot or protest to change the bottle for sure. But it is funny that that is what it took for people to listen to the SMALL things...

That is what is scary. It took Congress 100 years after slavery to decide laws were needed to offer equal protection under the law or to simply enforce what the Constitution already said but no one paid attention to. It was 90 years after slavery before Blacks in the South were allowed to go to a school that had white in many parts of the country. It has taken 160 years after the Civil War for the South to start admitting they lost the war..
