AUD/JPY vs EUR/GBP

Quote from atticus:

Out at .8124 for +57 pips.
I saw it hit 8127, I was wondering if you were going to hold on

Do me a favor now, and start taking something on the same side as me, I could use your good luck (I mean skill)

as a matrter of fact it wouldn't hurt to take the other side of that EUR/GBP

or at the very least short some EUR/USD for me

I doubt my shorting will have much impact. I will be long EURUSD from 1.2472 if touched.

shucks, I'm trying to sell some more at 2523

think about taking your profit there, you already have plenty of pips in your pocket and I'm just spinning my wheels

well, I'm flat now. I have a rule. When my account hits a new high by a certain dollar amount, I hit "cancel all" and go to "Real FX Balance" right click and hit "close all non base currency balance." (or whatever it says.)

I was trying to put on the other side in a paper account, but ib's paper account is messed up right now.

at anyrate, I went out and applied for a job and did some shopping, both of which energize me to commit more of my energy and small capital to trading.

well, I was hopinng to take a few days off and just fool around in my paper account and see if I could figure out what was going on, but the evil scrooges at www.interactivebrokers.com know that paper doesn't make them any money, so they screwed it up and forced me to go live again (and I was really not ready because I am almost never flat and I am for the most part always under water and it kind of drains me, especially when I read about how easy it is for day traders to just put pips in therir pockets because apparently they have some way of knowing where the low is and where the high will be)

at anyrate, I had to take quite a hit to finally get where I wanted to be (at a loss)

so now, I want GBP/AUD to go up

and EUR/JPY to go down

and I have it on over the 4 USD pairs

with no other idea than to sort of martingale until my acccount hits another new high

and it doesn't even have to take out the high. If it just gets back to close to even I might close it out because I'm not really that committed and didn't really think it through all that thoroughly.

ok, I'm back to even, so I guess I'll stick with it, it's better than anything else I can come up with at the moment.

Fundamentally I am short AUD and JPY. And USD neutral between 78 and 83.

and have no interest in getting long EUR

you have figured it out to get this far in life and the game.

never discount progress to date.

trading is a life long calling, you never hang up the spurs.

the " art of the trade " must be of your own design.

figure it out, dial it in, put on the blinders and get 'er done.

99% on this forum have no clue.

You know I think you've got a point. oldtime tips his hand with "when the dollar moves". It has moved some 800 pips against the Aussie.

I think oldtime is playing games ( good ones) also:D

He should be down in the basement:cool:

the short USD/JPY is the one that I am kind of kissing off, it will probably be a loser when I close out.

But I don't plan to be in here that long

just like Bush didn't plan to be in Afghanistan that long

just like Kennedy never expected 40,000 names to be on a wall in Washington D.C.
