Buy the 20/30/40 QCOR fly. I would avoid AAPL this week. Do the puts.
 
There is no demand for the synthetic short in QCOR even though it's restricted on the natural short. The synthetic is a dime under spot. It's easily shorted near spot so demand seems near equilibrium. I believe vol will drop at least 10 handles in Oct tomorrow.
 
i have thoughts......

wanna buy super otm wing puts for names that have things like netflix, cmg, momentum destruction happen to them.. just those couple hundred dollar names that are flying in the clouds fundamentally that will one day fall... one day you get cmg fall a hundred bucks.. and otm's go from cents to 50 dollars... anyone make these long blowout volatility bets?? i wanted to make a list of these stocks that have tumble potential and buy some wings.... anyone have experience with this? i'm talking literally about buying .05 to .30 cent options way otm.. knowning most bets will lose.. i've never got the inclination that anyone is trying to do this.. i sometimes think people don't do this cause they can't afford the loss emotionally no matter how small it is..

Hello cdcaveman, some people call what you describe "units" and they are generally used as cheap insurance for some other strategy.

I would look into 1 strike OTM QQQ options on Thursday for a 1 day trade. Example: At close today the 70.50 calls were going for $0.07 while the QQQ was at $70.30 or so.

Let's check that trade out on Friday while the market is open.

Most prostate cancers are very slow to metastasize. I would be more concerned with the effects of the rads, but I am sure it was a gamma knife procedure. The take-away is that he's more likely to die of old age (respiratory failure, etc) than from the PC.

Vola is very low on BRK_B.
