I'll PM. 20% payout instead of the former 15%. All OTC save for hedging. New gig not to be mentioned in the FX piece as I had not jumped yet. Boss is.... interesting. Don't know how long I'll last but will be happy if I make it through Dec for the payout.

ok thanks.

How about the decision to bail on a loser - is that simply a function of stopping out of the trade if the marks go some multiple of the expected profit target against you? Or is the stopping out decision a separate process entirely?

I use a hard stop on shares or a theta figure. If position thetas drop by half (from inception) then I usually close it unless I see something in the index that makes a touch of neutrality probable.

Thanks.

Looking forward to that article.

FWIW, there will be an article about moi in FX-Week mag before the end of year. I tripled my (work) sub-account (in exotics) and there will be a bit of a bio attached.

Like, groovy. Excellent news.

Large(ish) fund looking to double AUM in the next few years. First to actually pay for my bbg and offer a draw. Plus, since it's all OTC they seem to be ok with my personal trading and managed accounts. They didn't have a good year so they're attempting to increase AUM at a loss of margins (IMO).
Sounds pretty good, although you never ever know with these things and how they develop...

Regardless, best of luck and only one question remains... When are you hiring T6A to be your analyst :)?

Yeah, the feel I get from mgmt is that it's a real grinder, and I know an analyst there. They wouldn't take me unless T6A signed on for the revenue model... they wanted the guarantee that comes with a legit revenue model.

atticus .... If you need an assistant I'm available, my salary is negotiable. But I do require 6 weeks paid holidays per year.

Only 6? My son will do it for 8. (Well, actually, 0 - 2, and I think 0 is an option (NPI)...)
