Indeed Ken! It was as flat as a darned ironing board. It did NOT have any crater moments like it has had in so many past days. It went straight up and stayed up. I see that as strength.
That's what people said about last Thursday, and then Friday happened. The fact that China is now delaying their GDP release is troubling.
Was there any reason aside from a gamma short-squeeze for today's jump? NO!
It's a head fake. The market uptrend will not re-engage until the fed pauses hikes or outright pivots, or Putin is dead. If earnings are great, then this will be just like the July rally. Up up and away, and then down into the shitter again.
It is a rational overview of the market for the past few years and how it responds. And the market IS rational over the LONG-TERM. In the short-term? It is a mental patient.
