Attack on ET members beware

Quote from Gringinho:

It all depends on the individual and their nick/handle.
Some of them care greatly about their efforts and their nick.

Not really. They generally make it clear who they are. Or were. And essentially thumb their noses at Baron and the moderators. This is not conducive to maintaining whatever sort of atmosphere the posters to this thread think they want.

It's relative easy to ban their IP too - if they have a (semi-) fixed IP. Otherwise a scoring system is the only low-maintenance solution.

Baron,

i think you need to add Bruto Blukowski to your list.
he is beginning to be quite a nuisance and quite frankly i have grown weary of him bringing me into his angry rampage.

p.s. Baron i thought you had rules regarding harassment on this site? yet you allow Bruto Blukowski to continue stalking ET members. i think you should enforce your rules against harassment and get rid of Bruto and whatever other aliases he trolls about ET with.

Don't you have a HootList, PulseScam, Two Barf Charlie, Vulcan't, Pandork's Black Box service to go visit and maintain? All for free and advertised courtesy of Baron's ET and his servers.

Where can Baron send the bill?

You should be aware that e.g. physical threats or serious threats are illegal also on the Internet - so if you get any threats like that you can actually go to the police and report it.
Then they would pull the IP from the site, ISP and then hopefully fine the perp - if he wasn't a smartass and was using a library computer or something.
Otherwise you can flamebait the person if you can figure them out - and watch them cross the line a sufficently number of times. Just like in computer games - some people go on a rampage whenever they hit a key on their keyboard.

the only downside is that the ignore function doesn't do the trick.
the moderators need to pull the plug on these people and Baron should step up to the plate and enforce the rules. I don't like being pursued by a psychopath who is apparently hearing voices and thinks that everybody is T-REX in disguise waiting to deceive the entire nation and take over the world.

watch out! he might think your T-REX too and start the next wave of harassment.

Baron it is very encouraging to see you taking affirmative actions against this kind of behavior.

Many people seem to have lost faith in ET because of unwarranted bashers abusing others.

As you can see by some of the responses to this thread even the regular members have been forced to just adapt to this kind of abuse in here and that is a shame.

I believe if you continue to police this kind of nonsense Et will be great once again and many of the previous posters (that used to contribute value) will come back.

:)

If it were relatively easy, he'd do it. He hasn't. Figure it out.

So what? They're probably already back. All you're doing is slapping them with a newspaper.
Probably? It's obvious that Everest and TradeForChrist is the same guy all over again.

Earlier somebody mentioned that the ignore function "doesn't work". Today I made the ignore function not give you the option to view an ignored users post, so any posts made by ignored users are now completely invisible.

Actually no. But if you want to think that, go right ahead.
