Attach 1099B to 8949?

Hello,

Does the IRS approve of attaching the broker 1099B to the Form 8949?
(Versus individually typing out each transaction on the 8949? -- presuming the 1099B is correct)

How can this attachment method work online (FreeFileFillableForms.com); can I attach the 1099B as a .PDF?

My question actually originates from reading Exception 2

Instead of reporting each of your transactions on a separate row of Part I or Part II, you can report them on an attached statement

I'm interpreting "attached statement" to mean that attaching a 1099B is allowed.

If so, anyone know how to e-file via Exception 2?

Yes, only in the rare case you have no cost-basis adjustments including wash sale adjustments.
