Sometimes the followers stray from the principles, sometimes they misinterpret, sometimes they are weak, etc. Often, even the founder or main advocate even fails, but that does not vitiate the validity of the philosophy. I think Ayn Rand was brilliant.......she was a disciple of Arisitotle who has a few fans. Stosh

That is why we need to give up thinking that brilliant human beings are capable of manipulating the money supply so that we avoid the ups and downs of the business cycle which are inherent to free markets.......just let the money supply expand a consistent % each year based on GDP, pop. growth, whatever so that businesses can plan for it. The Fed does not have a good record......nor does central planning in general. Stosh
