if taser use requires lethal force in return, why are they used in the 1st place? Wonder if cop got hit or dodged as he barrels to the parked car.
Yeah I just saw this new video 30 seconds ago and the shooting looks justified.I do think the cops knew it was a taser but I can understand shooting someone pointing a taser at you.
how many shots on a tazer I wonder? From my recollection when these were first introduced, they were a one shot thing. If the perp shot his load, it's a foot chase at that pointI saw the Atlanta video and think this is not the same as other cases. It was an escalating situation and wonder why he was not tazed or the tazer waa not enough.
Then what should the cops do? This is where the training falls woefully short.
The problem with the narrative is the white guy assaults a cop and takes his taser and bites the officer and is never shot and this guy is shot. That is the only narrative that will play over and over.
Right now the police need better training because they are helpless in these situations where they immediately go to the gun.
It was justified imo, you can't punch the police, steal the taser, point it at him and expect the cop to not think worst case scenario will not happen if he gets knocked out by it.
