Athlon and IB

IB computer requirements recommend Pentium 3.IB tech. dept.
says AMD Athlon "should" be o.k.
Is TWS trading system and AMD(athlon) compatible?

There is no application that works better on a P3 than an AMD processor. There are some apps that go faster on a P4 but they are specific graphics apps. AMD gives about twice the bang for buck compared to Intel right now, and the competition between these two powerhouses is the best thing to happen to computing since the invention of Windows.........which of course was invented by Apple.
