There's a strong chance there will not be an Olympics this year...
Yet, a lot of people do not realize there's more protesting going on in the world outside of the United States.
Japan is taking extraordinary steps via Covid restrictions...that alone has already started protests planning interruptions by the Covid Deniers at the Olympics, human rights issues in many countries...
Japan will have their hands full especially the bomb squads / terrorism prevention to protect the athletes during this Olympics if it kicks off on their delayed schedule.
- Many people are dying everyday in protest.

I was also thinking to mention that Japan was having issues with a COVID "surge" and there is a likelihood that the Olympics may not be held this year. But this is a different topic than the subject of this thread... so I let it slide.
No matter what year the Olympics are held the IOC is sticking strong to the "no political protests" rules. The penalties are severe including stripping an entire team of medals if a single member makes a protest.
